my new car was supposed to be here this week, but the dealership now says they aren’t sure when the truck will arrive.  so I’m stuck waiting even longer.

Just wanted to let everybody know that I finally bought myself a new car :D It’s a VW GTI GLS.

If you don’t know, here’s what happened to my old one.

Welcome to the VW family..

i have a 1983 VW Rabbit.. which is in a similar family to the GTI.. i think the GTI might have came from the Rabbit… not totally sure though.

they make a GTI GLS? I thought it was just Jetta GLS and the R32 for the high end section. My sister’s boyfriend has a GTI and hes had a lot of problems with it. But he abuses it, I think. lol

Thanks guys for the nice comments 😊 On paper it gets 25mpg in the city and 31 on the freeway. With my driving style it’s prolly not gonna get that, lol.

Yeah, they make the GTI GLS, 1.8L turbo engine 😉  It does have a lot of power and its really fun to drive. It’s got soooo many standard options that other cars don’t even have as options ....

I test drove a few Benz, BMW and Lexus at an event, and the benz sucks :lol: BMW ownes all of them !

A co-worker just bought the VW GTI that has the Audi TT powertrain.  That little car has all wheel drive AND 250 horsepower.  :o
 
Congrats!  VW has a great warranty and track record, although statistically the quality has gone down over the last few years.  I almost bought the turbo Beetle in 2000.
