[quote author=“RayaniFoxmur”][quote author=“SpiceLMF”]I just think it’s ridiculous that this administration could completely mislead this country yet because Bush is presented as “a good christian” all the rural areas are all over that.
Wow, that’s funny. I thought this country was founded on freedom of religion, not the “Whatever the hell the President says is the religion” religion.
*holds her Pentacle*
haha yeah.. I mean I’m Catholic although my views on the big issues (abortion, gay marriage) are contrary to that of the church.. but I liked Kerry’s stance on it.. that yes he was a Catholic.. did he personally agree with those things no, but does he have the right to limit a woman’s choice for example becuase of his personal religious views.. no.
“Bush is the first U.S. presidential candidate since his father to win with more than 50 percent of the vote, an indicator, White House aides said, that the country is more united now than it was in 2000, when Bush lost the popular vote to Vice President Al Gore.”
Why are the southern states do damn stupid??? For instance, West Virginia. West Virginia is the poorest state in the union. WhyTF then would they continue to be loyal to the Republicans, who are the party of the rich and give tax breaks to the rich? The south is so stupid. I hope they suceed from the US once again so they can enjoy their president.

Everyone got tax breaks, the rich just got more money back because they pay MORE in the first place. Somehow people fail to understand that it’s just how the tax bracket works: the more you make, the more you pay, the more you will get back when there are taxcuts. Thus the more the uneducated liberals complain.
well from what i see. I’m in NYC. u see cops and secret service all over the place especially the city. But then I go to Arizona, West Palm and Cali it’s like another world over there. No troops or cops not even in tourist spots. They’re not hit as hard as the metro areas. Still in their nice little comfortable little towns and thinks everything is going fine and dandy.

Well to me it makes more sense to give larger tax returns to the people who need them. My parents got a large tax break, and what did they do? They put it in the bank. Whereas a needier person would spend the tax money on necessities.
whereas metropolitian areas are more liberal in their morals ex: gay marriage the south and rural areas aren’t.

and yes, everyone got tax breaks.. yet when we don’t have enough money to fund education and don’t have the money to properly equip our army.. a tax break to a millionaire isn’t really helping our country in my opinion.
I am from Texas, the homeland of W, and I must say too that the South is indeed REALLY f*cking insane. You have to live down here to understand what kind of conservative man Bush is. There are nothing *but* people like Bush here. It sucks hardcore. Texas is a world of its own. I’ve always said that, and it’s *very* true. There are some really insane f*cks down here.
Here’s to another four years of cowboy backwoods HICK politics… sh*t…........!

Sorry to burst your bubble but Kerry opposed Bush’s 87 million funding for the military. and to education President Bush’s overall Fiscal Year (FY) 2005 budget represents a 49% increase for elementary and secondary education since FY 2001.

maybe reading this will help you understand the situation a bit better http://www.factcheck.org/article155.html
(if it doesn’t go right to the article then go to archives and look for March the article entitled “Did Kerry Vote “No” on Body Armor for Troops?” it explains that yes Kerry did vote this down.. but if you read he also co-sponsored a very similar bill that would give such appropriations while temporarily rolling back the tax breaks.

Four more Fxxking years. Think how bad it’s been these last four years? Another 4 years of the same BS just makes me depress. But for some who are still in school and some in ‘far far away’ states will not feel the pain as much as others. Bush is right when he say GOD BLESS AMERICA. god bless us.
If you look at the states that kerry won, they were all majorly affected by job loss—CA, PA, NY, MI, etc…I suppose the midwest and south like to cover their eyes to reality.
The US is in a sad state right now—it’s gonna take a HUGE effort to bring things back together around here like they want.

Well, as a matter of fact, nationwide there is discussion of dropping teachers salaries by 25%—bring the starting salary to just below $27k/yr…so while they may want to increase funding to the schools educators are getting the shaft.

That’s great considering I’m going to be a teacher. Jesus I hate this country so hard right now.
