I have a Bushisms poster in my room.

My favorite two are:

“I know how hard it is to put food on your family”
and
“I know that the human being and fish can coexist peacefully”

A leader that isn’t the best at public speaking. Atleast he beat the public speaker who couldn’t lead if the path was painted bright red.

Information from the CIA that would have been given no matter who was in office.

I remember him joking about it, but never admitting it.  And so what was his next response?  “Umm…  sorry.”  😛

Sorry, I don’t base my vote on search tricks.

and Hector, sorry Bush made a mistake invading Iraq on reports of wmd’s there to protect you and me. I see the protection of the country is not one of your priorites.

right, after all posibilities were exhausted.. and they weren’t.. I think people often believe that we can’t be aggressive against terrorists acts while still taking caution. Yet that’s what we need, to be aggressive yet make sure we are making the right moves.

Perhaps his priorities should have been countries that he knew had WMD’s rather than speculative countries.

Comedy Central, now there’s some reliable news converage.

[quote author=“SpiceLMF”]right, after all posibilities were exhausted.. and they weren’t

Iraq wasn’t complying so Bush took the next step. Apparantly making an effort to protect the US isn’t what you wanted to see.

If I’m pointing a gun at you and somone is saying it could be loaded, it might not. Would you rather walk down the street and look for a guy with a gun that you know for sure is loaded? Iraq was labeled as an immediate threat and Bush took that threat seriously.

lol good one.

[quote author=“the article”]“The PDB article did not warn of the 9/11 attacks,” the White House said in a statement released Saturday night. “Although the PDB referred to the possibility of hijackings, it did not discuss the possible use of planes as weapons.”

The memo, titled “Bin Laden determined to attack inside the U.S.,” had been described by the White House as a largely historical document with scant information about domestic al Qaeda threats.

So I guess since Bush is president he’s supposed to be some sort of god and determine that planes would be used to attack America in NY. Nice try.

I think many Americans fail to see our impact on the world stage.. and as a major world leader we need to work together with our other allies in making the right decision, yes for our nation, but also for the entire world.  England.. and don’t forget Poland is not the support i’d like to see from the world.

As a New Yorker that was closely effected by the events of 9/11, I’d like to see efforts to catch Bin Laden who we knew was a threat.. rather than go willy nilly attacking a country that we weren’t totally sure was a threat.  We knew what the threat was

Yes you’re right, we should work together with our allies to make the right decision. With the threat we were given Bush’s instinct was to protect the country not to go ask all of our allies to see if it was ok if we protect ourselves.

I agree. The nation spoke. The best man won. Case closed.

If we aren’t threatened, or attacked we aren’t protecting ourselves.
