Since October 23rd 2001 my goal has been to travel a minimum of 3-4 times a year. But this year I’m in a bit of a pickle as my wife is out of vacation time and my travel buddy is broke. What should I do?

Stay at home, but travel someplace locally with your wife, over the weekend.  Car trip to a next-door state, perhaps.

Hang out close to home. Do a day trip and check out local stuff- there is always something you haven’t been to and it’s right next to you. You might even pass it all the time. Keep your eyez peeled.

Yeah, I thought about that, but I dunno.  There’s nothing like stepping off of a plane in a new place, particularly one with hot girls in bikinis and an open bar…  😉

Seriously though, 3-4 nights in a foreign city for about $500-600?  How can I resist?  :mischeif:

I agree. Foreignness is indeed so much more appealing. I am voting that you leave! Haha!

See, here’s a deal out of Cincinnati to a place in Cancun near the Club Med for $509, all-inclusive for 4 nights including air and transfers.

You could make a trip to Vegas and go all out there 😊  That’s what I did…limo, suite at Mandalay Bay, everything.  Such a blast!  :D

Well, at this point I’m probably just going to save my pennies and stay home.  My wife isn’t too thrilled about me going on this one, and I wasn’t too keen on traveling alone.  And the scuba group trips I’ve looked in to were expensive!  Seriously, for the price of one week long scuba trip with an organized group I could plan my own trip for two weeks and still spend less money.  Oh well, now I’m bummed out…  😢

That is always my first choice, but she’s out of vacation time.  C’mon, I’d bring her back a refrigerator magnet!  :D
