I am actually waiting until the forums get a bit more active again with some new, fresh faces. Gear Live has a couple of deals with a couple of companies that want us to promote their products through contests. Free stuff WITHOUT having to sign up for anything, nice huh? :think:
So, hey, invite your friends to check out the boards and sign up. When we get an increase (I am thinking 25-50 more consisntent posters), we can start giving away free gear.

Everyone that has migrated over to my forums from here, still visits here—You are correct that many of the members are pissed off about things, primarily the handling of the conga lines. I for one can speak for myself on that, I’m not gonna bring up that whole mess, but I make more than enough money to buy these items, rather than splitting hairs with everyone over here. I don’t have intentions of stealing GL members as i’ve been accused of around here. Quite frankly, my site is not tech based, and based on your user level, multiple tiers of hidden forums become available to you. I also have an 18+ section which those of us of age appreciate.
When I first joined GL, I enjoyed myself—this is not the case these days, therefore I avoid it. If you look around, I still make a post once in awhile. Not to mention I also offer a open link to this website on any pages which make reference to conga lines or the gratis networks. I don’t get a link in return, but I figure that this site started me with the free offers, so I’d help out, no matter how minute.
Don’t get me wrong, I really don’t have anything ‘bad’ to say about this site, I think that Andru & Hector do one hell of a job. There are just to many immature people for my likings in all the forums except the lounge. I could actually hold a decent conversation with people in the past, we could be opinionated, and would respect what the other had to say…it was actually quite productive. Now it’s everywhere I look, it’s OMG, sign up on my referral link BLAH BLAH…
That is all I have to say at this juncture, I felt it necessary to defend the users of my forums from being ‘not so nice’, when in actuality it’s the members of this board that many feel have pushed them to the side, have taken advantage of, or have been shunned by.

i hope you didn’t take my post as very offensive towards you.. it wasn’t really meant to be.. people were wondering where everyone went.. and i said your forum (not suggesting you were stealing users or some stupid crap like that).. becuase that’s where a lot of people went. And if you think some “not so nice” things weren’t said they were.. I acknowledged maybe they were justified.. but it doesn’t really matter.. if you don’t want to come here I totally respect that. I understand you’re reasoning.. I wasn’t trying to attack you.. just stating the situation.
The success of this forum depends on the success of freeipods.com. The fact is that while everybody before was waiting around for two months for their ipods to be shipped, they were constantly on the boards to see who’s been shipped and whatnot. Now that Gratis is shipping everything out so quickly, people come, get their ipod, and leave quickly.
Oh and dont worry about munkyxtc’s forum, it has only like 50 users.
nice hector, lol. i dont think its a matter of entertainment, its just the fact that the GL forums have evolved and grown into something that is not wanted by those who left. for me, i dont always find myself reading as many threads,mainly cuz i can anticipate the 13yr old “omg, wtf, click my link, roxors n00b,i can’t make a coherent thought!” i was also getting tired of reading the random drama that was going on. its an internet forum, chill people.
oddly enough, i do stay due to hector’s great topics, lol. they are truely funny and entertaining. also, i enjoy reading the threads/comments of certain members here,which is why i stay, even if i dont seem as active.
i have no clue if anything i’ve said makes sense, its about 8:30 am and i’ve had about 3 hours of sleep. this has allowed me to stay awake for another 5 minutes in class though. huzzah!
