[quote author=“creejoh”]Yeah I know Bush screwed up here and there… But I think people are being way too biased against him.

I’m being very biased against him…damn right—he’s no good for the American people.

What’s so freakin’ wrong about being biased about him? “Yeah, he messed up here & there”—I’m sorry, but he shouldn’t mess up PERIOD. This is MY nation, and I’m not going to have it be “messed up here & there”

By the way, I’m watcfhing the debates right now. YOU PEOPLE HAD BETTER BE WATCHING TOO—meaning no posts to any threads for the next couple of hours 😛 jk

Its wrong to be biased to the point of lying and slander, right?

Also, as I recall with the whole scandal with Monica Lewinsky, and the president at the time lying UNDER OATH to the people of America, and the Supreme Court, people said “So what, hes human, its ok to make mistakes.”

All Im saying is that there is a ridiculous double standard.  Please be open minded to everyone, not just the people that its popular to be open minded to.

Also I really dont want to argue, and Im sorry if it seemed that way.  But lets discuss maturely.  If anything that I said above seems like arguing I apologize.

... and back to the debates

I’m not going to argue or go for any sides, but I must say that Kerry is so uptight, and that’s unfortunate :( I like Kerry, but his speeches seemed so rehearsed! More so than Bush’s, at least.

I hope everyone liked two things about Kerry’s closing arguments:

1) He completely neglected the category of 18-29 year old voters when talking about who he wants voting for him in November

2) He said God Bless America. Bull****. Kerry is not allowed to believe in God anymore. He gave that privledge away. I’m sorry, but he is not allowed to say that.

Why isn’t he allowed to say that? Because “God” is on Bush’s side or is it because he mentions stem-cell research? In terms of leaving out 18-29 year old voters, Bush didn’t make an appeal, he just didn’t mention parents like Kerry did. I think that this debate had more of a general focus. In the next two debates, which are over domestic issues, you’ll see both candidates making their appeal to specific demographics.

On a side note on domestic policy:
I still miss Gore’s plan to make the first $10,000 of a tuition payment tax deductable. Good plan, I wish someone would bring it back.
