[quote author=“HectorGearLive”][quote author=“hmbldtgrl”]I drink about a gallon a day.. I love the stuff.. makes my skin & body feel better and look better
Man, I’ll see what I can do. Shoot, where do they get that number from? My body certainly doesn’t crave it. :x
We can exist without food for months, but without water we can only survive for a few days. Your body is made up mostly of water, which:
Is essential for digestion, nutrient absorption and elimination
Aids circulation
Helps control the body’s temperature
Lubricates and cushions joints
Keeps the skin healthy
Helps remove toxins from your body
At least its only 8 glasses—it used to be a quart for every 50lbs of body weight so for most, that would be anywhere from 12-20 glasses/day
[quote author=“antman22”]i try to pound through 2-4 20oz bottles of water a day..i dunno how that equates to cups.
Pounding water isn’t the best thing to do.
It takes the body awhile to absorb the stuff. Its more beneficial if you drink steadily throughout the day.
[quote author=“hondaboi”]wow i barely drink water alot. I better start drinking but water is really nasty. I don’t like the no taste in water
I used to have the exact same perspective. I think is grows on you, exercise and lack of other options during said exercise has made it so water is the second thing I grab for now. The first obviously being a nice stout.
sorry, i didn’t mean pound as in drink large amounts in short amounts of time….i drink water throughout the day, usually in my classes. i agree on the “do not pound” water though…if i ever drink too much at one time, i feel all nasty, but i do get that cool “glunk glunk” sound of water swishing around in my stomach.

Ahahaha! I can’t believe how we both relate to that!
[quote author=“HectorGearLive”][quote author=“antman22”]cuz im thirsty(its texas…mucho heat).
Oh yeah, I love water while I’m eating though. I get :x when the waiter doesn’t replenish it soon enough.
there’s a persian restaraunt near my house that i think you’d love. quite literally, your glass of water is full 99% of the time. They have one guy, and his whole job is just to fill up water glasses. I would drink some water, still have about 3/4ths of a glass, turn to talk to a friend, then BAM, i look back and its full again. this was the case the whole night. we had a group of about 14 people that night, and i dont think i saw a single glass half full until the very end when we were paying. we were amazed by this, i wish it happened at other restaraunts…some joints you can’t get a refill at all, unless you pretend to start convulsing and choking.
i had to go pee a lot that night, i dont think i realized how much water i actually drank since it was always full.
[quote author=“hondaboi”][quote author=“hmbldtgrl”]I think it is funny when you can hear the water in your tummy moving around.. lol.. it gives you this really funny feeling
umm i think its called bile and it starts becuase theres nothing for it to digest. Am i right?
nope, I was referring to when I drink too much water in short amount of time.. and walk.. you can hear it moving around inside..
I drink water almost exclusively. I drink powerade or juices at meals, but during the day I only drink water. I guess this is a layover from 7 years ago when I started playing football in high school, and the coach said not to drink cokes. I’ve been drinking water since then! Besides, its good for you and tastes great.
