[quote author=“Acrylic”]I can’t now, cuz, I’m not gonna ask her over the phone. 😛
Dude you just call her up, see if she’s busy, and take her to a movie or something. You don’t actually “ask her out”, you just take her out.
::ring ring::
Her: Hello?
You: Hey its acrylic.
Her: Oh hi, whats up?
You: Not much, just wondering what you’re up to this weekend
Her: Oh, I’m maybe gonna sit around the house or something.
You: Well, have you seen [insert movie here] yet? I heard its good.
Her: Nope, I heard its good too
You: Well we should go. Hows tomorrow night, 8 oclock, sound?
Her: Sure! see you there.
Dude you never actually say “Will you go out with me?” Or “will you be my girlfriend?”. Thats just uncool.

Alright then. I should do that. Too bad I don’t have her number. She has mine tho, called me a couple times, but crap, I dont have hers.
And I dont wanna be a creeper and look it up in the phonebook. So, Im kinda stuck now anyways. I could ask her best friend, but yeah, that would be kinda creeping also.

It’s kinda funny how “love” is such a good thing when you feel it,
but when other people see you and like your gf/bf doing whatever they look upon it as weird. Well basically I guess waht I mean is that it’s only special to the person who’s feeling/experiencing it and to everyone else it’s kinda silly. !;-)

if you ask me, love is overrated. it’s like people just throw the words around. they become meaningless. plus, i don’t see how you could love someone who could hurt you so badly.
on second thought, i take it all back. i’m in a bitchy mood tonight. or maybe i’m just cynical. or maybe i’m just jealous. :(

You sound like you’ve been hurt before… I’m so sorry. We’ve all been hurt and it sucks. Sometimes I think that I’ll never get over the pain I felt when I got hurt. And just when you think its gone, something else reminds you.
But that doesn’t mean that I think love is overrated… I’ve never been happier in my life than when I was in love. I was at the top of the world, no one could take me down. Love, when not “thrown around”, and when it is treated with the respect it deserves, is the most beautiful wonderful thing a guy (or girl) can have in their lives. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Don’t get me wrong. I totally agree with you. I guess I’m just trying to find that feeling again, and failing miserably at it. I shouldn’t have said the things I did in my last post..it was late and I had just got into an argument with a “friend” over this whole needing-to-find-a-boyfriend crap.

I’m better off with myself instead of having a gf. Fudge them, I don’t need any of their stupid pointless drama and taking my money. Like I once told my friend, I’m probably going to be one of those guys that makes good money, yet they have no one. So be it. :x

who “needs to find a boyfriend”? if a persons NEEDS a companion, then I feel bad for them. its nice to live independently every now and then.
relationships are great, you get warm fuzzies and everything, but just cuz a person is single doesn’t mean their life is in complete misery. i guess i’m just saying: be happy in whatever situation life puts you in, single or taken. the only thing you NEED to do is be happy.
eat, drink, and be merry with friends who don’t give you such a hard time about being single. i know if my friends did that to me constantly, i’d find other people to hang out with.

Well, my friends dont give me a hard time. We’re all happy and stuff, but I feel like I need a GF at this time in my life. This girl always makes me feel happy and everything…
So I dunno, I like her alot. I can’t really explain it…

Ms. Jbeana, I agree with Mr. Antman on this thing: you really do need to find some new friends if they really are doing this to you. First off, it’s retarded and immature, and second off, are they *that* insecure to criticise everyone else for not having a boyfriend/girlfriend whenever they do?! I mean, what if they don’t have one? Heaven forbid (note the sarcasm), but what will they do then? I have two friends that were in a very similar position as you and your friends are. They’re both actually my best friends. One of them ended up finding an admirer, and they dated for a little while. Ever since then, she’s dated all the time. My other friend got so sick of hearing other people hooking up, and when it finally hit home with this best friend of ours hooking up, she couldn’t take it anymore. She absolutely *had* to find someone, so she ended up falling *extremely* hard for a guy that everyone knew was just having another relationship with her. Don’t get me wrong—the guy is a really great guy, but after about six months in the relationship, she started discussing marriage and kids!!!! The guy is great in relationships, and he never wanted to hurt her, but she was going insane!! It’s all ‘cause she got into the relationship game a little too prematurely, and I don’t recommend you go this route. She insists to this day that she loves him with all her heart, and it’s truly sad. She’s lost friends over this because she talks incessantly about a relationship that ended about a year ago. It drives me up the wall sometimes as well—I just wanna shake her and say, “MOVE ON. You were JUST another relationship!! The guy is a SERIAL MONOGAMIST just like most other people!!!!”
Please PLEASE don’t end up like this, Ms. Jbeana!! It’s a really sad lifestyle, and I’d hate to one day hear about you moaning over a boyfriend you broke up with two years ago all because you let your friends’ behaviour boil up inside of you. As far as relationships go at this age, take it ALL in stride. Have fun with it. Don’t be serious about it. Sure, there are high school sweetheart marriages in the world, but those are rare. I can tell you this much—I didn’t stick with my first boyfriend. I’m on my 7th or 8th guy I’ve dated right now. I can’t keep track, and it’s all ‘cause I take it in stride. Please do the same, should the time ever come for you, and don’t listen to your boyfriend-dependent friends!!!!! There’s more to life than relationships!!
