I was just curious how much time you waste in a day at work?  How much is that costing the company?  I have been here since 8am, and I’ve only done about 30mins worth of work ... that means I’ve wasted over 5 hours reading posts and chatting at IM.

Figure out how much you waste a day, a year…have a look at http://www.corporatedump.com and check out their money wasting machine—so far members have wasted over $800k…

lol.. I know I said I was going to go and do some work but then I saw this and had to post… I really don’t do anything in the day time on company time.. I do a lot of my work at home at night.. I’m a night person…I’m just happy I make it to work in the morning.

I’m in your exact same boat.  I come in and do about 30 mins of actual WORK.  Rest of the time I’m here with ya’ll.

I got promoted last year with a 12% raise.  i did less work then, then I do now.  I’m up for my yearly review in about a week.  I won’t get a promotion, but I will get a raise.

Cool man, of course the more promoted you are, the more you’re in the spotlight.

well i was promoted from assistant to associate software engineer.  so the promotion wasn’t putting me much more in the spotlight then i already was.  the spotlight doesn’t really hit for 2 more promotions.

nope.  i don’t plan on it.  at least not until I get my ipod.  not that I can get referrals from here.  But if I actually start writing movie reviews from here I’ll stick around.

it all depends on who i’m working with. my work requires me to bounce around from school to school within the district, and sometimes i’m at a school, like the one i just left monday, doing about 30 minutes of work a day…all we did was talk and tehy fed me candy…

When I can be I’m extremely lazy, unfortunately I have about 100+ pages of reading a night and can’t afford to be lazy. I miss summer.

On paper I work 5-6 hours in an 8 hour shift.  But in actuality I probably work 3 hours, but that’s just because I’m damn good at what I do!  \:D/

And of that 3 hours I’m multitasking and posting to the forums, surfing, ripping music, etc.  :D

sounds like me.  on paper I work 8-9 hours a day.  when in actuality I do all my tasking in about an hour or 2, and spend the rest of the tim surfing, posting, ripping music, listening to audio books, playing games, or adding new features to my familys theatre business website.
