...the best fireworks show I have ever seen in my entire life. Well every year a local radio station puts on this event called Skyshow after a sporting event. This year it happened to be after a college game between San Diego State and Idaho State. This is no ordinary fireworks show. Each year the radio station works its hardest to out-do itself from the previous year by upping the shell count. This year I went with a couple friends and we found the best place outside the back of the stadium to watch the show. We were literally 100 feet from the shells exploding. They covered a huge part of the area in front of us, wrapping around a the whole back side of the stadium. We felt every percussion as the they launched. They also had 4 people lifter type things spread out to launch even more. The entire show was like a the finale at some of the really good 4th of July shows I have seen. There were no oo’s and aww’s here. We were hanging on to our 3rd story perch for dear life. It was a roller coaster of fireworks that I will never forget. Through the madness and falling ashes I managed to get some shots with my cam phone. I wish I could have taken some of the finale but the percussions were so loud that we were forced to plug our ears. It was like daylight at night. I liked how one of my friends put it “At one point I felt like I was going to die.” I’m still breathless and can’t wait for next year!
