Hi,
I’m looking for a good widescreen tv around 51inches and on a budget of about $2000. Any Ideas? I’ve heard good things about Panasonic and Toshiba.

we bought a sanyo this year (32”) because our tv broke and we got it from walmart and if you buy a sanyo you can return it no questions asked within a year. So we are just going to return it and buy a big one. It will be awesome for games

Grab a Sumsung DLP TV with either an HD2+ or HD3 chip (The HLP series). They are great, lightweight, and you dont ever have to worry about burn-in on these sets. I have one, and it is awesome.

Thanks for the ideas..I have been thinking of going with DLP. Wish, I had the $5800 to blow on a plasma though.  Any ideas on getting one with ATSC tuner built in or going for an external box? I’ve seen some external ones for about $200 and up..is there really a difference?

Mitsu 55315 looks great, and usually runs about 1700 or so.
Hitachi would also be a good choice.
