does anyone know how to change the name of your xbox?  mine always used to be called dopey or something and then one day it changed to MATT H. (my name).  i dont know why and i dont know how it knows my name because i never use it in games.  i know it can be done with doa3 or something but i last played that about 2 1/2 years ago and the change happened in the past couple months.

I know it has something to do with DOA3, i think you have to get first in survival mode and then the name you put in is the name of your xbox. I don’t know where you view the xbox’s “name” so i can’t really test this or anything, sorry.

i know you see the Xboxs name when loading for a split screen multiplayer game where it lists the players name and the level

oh, i only have fighting games and doa beach volleyball…so yeah i cant really view it anyways.

im not into Halo…

it’s very odd.  it is most likely a newer game that i played and put my name as the player name but nobody knows about it changing the name yet.  still, i dont know any way other than doa3 (or ftp into xbox which i havent done), and i was not very good at doa3,so chances are very low that i got first place in anything while playing it.  and yes, i do see this in halo lan.

My xbox is modded, so I changed it with a simple tool.  You can do it with Wolfenstein, as well.

I softmodded it with a software exploit.  I also put in a 120 gig hard drive; I have tons of music and movies on there, as well as games.  It’s great.

You can do it with Cel Damage. Luckily, I got my copy with the big $5 clearance going on. My name now is “Stumpy” I wonder what I should change it to.

Mine is now “I ain’t turnin’ queer!” as from an episode of South Park.
