I remember I hooked my PS1 to my first receiver.  It was Dolby Pro-logic, and you could hear the the cars surrounding you when you went into a tunnel in RidgeRacer1.  Man, I played that game to death.  And I still use the same 5.1 speakers on my PS2.  New receiver though.  :D

I’ve always had my consoles hooked up to my 5.1 system. I remember when I first got the Gamecube, and I was playing Luigi’s Mansion (I beat that game in six hours… and haven’t played it since). Whenever there was a thunderclap, it came from behind me. It was insane! Surround sound is king.

Both my Gamecube and XBOX are hooked up to my 5.1 surround sound system.  :love:

i got a nice 5.1 system from a friend whose family bought a tv that came with a surround sound system.  they didnt need it and gave it to me.  now i amaze people by turning it up full blast and playing the beach landing level of halo.
