I would say The Eye.  It was some japanese subtitled film, that creeped me out for weeks afterwards.  Maybe The Ring is second place?  Couldn’t even watch the movie-screen during some parts.

are you talking about the american released ring?  or the japanese ring with the subtitles.  I’ve heard the japanese one is much scarier, just like you said the Eye was.  I haven’t been able to find the Eye anywhere.

Scream. 😛 But that was when I was younger, and hey, I was alone in a cramped, dark, and all-together spooky room watching it with the volume jacked way up…

For like two years I coulda sworn I heard people walking up the stairs and just standing at my doorway…although I don’t think that had anything at all to do with the movie, it was triggered by the fear that such heinous could be committed without much direct cause…

I’m sure this “Eye” would prolly scare the bejesus out of me, but I haven’t seen it. And “The Ring” wasn’t ruined for me by all the hype that it was the scariest movie in recent memory…one of those sorta’ things where everyone says one thing about it and you develop expectations. Which, of course, is the one thing that kills movies for me: expectations that are based on word of mouth or trailers 😉.

The eye is a Japanese movie and it is really freaky.  The movie is about a girl that gets some kind of transplant in her eyes and can see ghosts.  There’s some really scary stuff in that movie.

The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre freaked me out.  I think it was partially due to the gore factor.  But, the idea of being stuck in the middle of nowhere in Texas with cannibals hunting me is pretty scary.

The original Ringu (Japanese) is pretty cool. I would say just as scary and just as in-depth. Both are really good, in my opinion, and they’re both really good equally. =) It’s just a matter of which story you want to hear and yada yada yada.

As far as *my* scariest movie, I would have to say TX Chainsaw Massacre ‘cause ummmmmm!!!!! I live in Texas!! LOL Plus, things like that that are based from REAL stories… yeah, that freaks me out more. The realer it is, the scarier it is. =\

EDIT (18:39 CST): If you want to play a video game that’s of the same calibre as the Ring, but with zombies, play SIREN on PS2. I am *still* urging you people to play that game. I really like it. And it takes place in Japan too =)

I meant the American “Ring”.  For the Eye, use NetFlix.

Where’s the new thread?  :D

The Eye is about a blind woman who undergoes an Eye transplant, yet for some reason, she sees dead people.  The imagery from her perspective is ****ing SCARY.  Even with subtitles, I’d still say it’s my most scariest film ever.  If you rent it, you also get some good jump-off-your-seat surround sound action.  Try it out.  I won’t say more because I hate high expectations spoiling my films too.

😉

Yeah, I was younger back then too.  Before The Eye and The Ring, that was my pick.  :D

For me it is Final Destination 4 movie. It is so scary movie. I had also watched its first 3 parts. But the fourth one was more horrible. But it was really good.
