Have you ever hurt your back, lifting something?

About a month ago, it was an air conditioner that I lifted.  I was in serious pain, but then it gradually left after about a week.  Then, last week I was sitting on the floor for like 2 hours with hardly any back support.  When I woke up the next morning, I could barely move.  It sucks.

Yeah, no kidding.  The thing is, it was stuck inside a closet and I couldn’t get my legs near it.  I sorta had to pull it out of a cranny first, before I could lift properly.  :(

Lift with your legs… I guess you learned that one the hard way.  Sorry for your pain. Rest up and Relax and take some pain killers that should make you feel better.

I’m a youngin’, and about a month ago I hurt my back pretty badly. I can’t remember what it was that caused the back pain, but I know that I was in bed (which coincidentally is the worst thing for a bad back 😛) for about a week constantly in spastic pain that had me in (yes, I’m masculine enough to say it 😛) tears at times. I was in such bad pain that I couldn’t even lie down and avoid the pain, it was a constant throb that wouldn’t go away. I ended up experimenting with Icey Hot, and then I finally went to see the doctor. He said that using Icey Hot (or hot pressure products) wasn’t the way sports medicine is currently treating muscle fatigue injuries. Best to ice it to death (‘till you can’t feel it 😛), and stay off it for a few days…

Yeah, I’ve hurt my back from lifting something 😛

I was a football player in high school and I play rugby in college… so I’m no stranger to pain. Although I’ve quite luckily never had any back problems, I know that will probably change once I’m 40. I’ll be sitting on the front porch in a rocking chair while my kids play in the front yard!!!
