I recently upgraded my CD rom from a 12x to a 56x.  Itunes would not recognize any thing put in new drive.  Other applications work with new drive. I also took a drive from another machine and Itunes wouldnt see it.

Anyone else have problems like this. These are all CD-ROMS no writers.

hrm, i haven’t had that problem, but you make sure you uninstalled the old drivers and installed the new ones, then installed teh cd- drive? i’m sorry if that question insults you, i just don’t know everything you’ve done, so its good to cover all bases.

yeah, new drivers might do the trick
