[quote author=“dangrouslychzy”]I use Firefox, because of the tabbed windows and how it’s so damn customizable.

Ditto.  But I still have to use Internet Explorer because some sites don’t work properly.

Same here. I switched about a week ago when Firefox 1.0PR came out. Gotta love having 14 sites open at the same time… in the same window 😊

One example of a site not working right with Mozilla/Firefox - The Gratis sites. It borks after I enter my name and what not.

“Borks?”  That’s a new one for me, but cool!  :D   I mean, not cool, if that’s a bad thing.

The best example of a site not working in the Windows Update site.  I guess you can’t get any critical updates if you’re also using a secure browser.  A$$holes!  Another is MSN.  You get the basic content but the videos don’t work.  And I’ve seen a few vendor websites where the cart and checkout was screwed up.  Mind you, all of these problems are to blame on the web masters of those site who are either deliberately screwing people (Microsoft) or just inept. >|(

Erm… customizable? Sorry, but I’m really new to the Firefox thing—how is it customizable? Are there skins? I would like skins 😊

well i downloaded firefox to see what’s the hype..

i noticed my website doesn’t display correctly :(

anyone have any ideas why a link fade javascript wouldn’t work..

also because it only recognizes html that is w3c approved certain elements such as toolbar color (and it seems border color) are not working correctly

i love mozilla.  Favorite thing about it is the tab window.  It makes it so organize that i get mad at all the sites i have on.

Well, Spice, I don’t know if you’re familiar with this handy dandy feature in firefox. If you set your default search engine to google, then highlight any text by clicking and dragging across it, then right click, you can “search the internet for $text”. Its pretty sweet. It brings up a new tab with the google search for that term. I don’t even have the google search tool installed on my firefox.

that is a cool feature.. although what i was speaking of is on the google toolbar.. whatever you enter in the search field you can then click on the find for that word.. so say i’m searching gearlive.. i can put gearlive in the toolbar’s search field.. search then go to a website.. instead of scrolling through to find the info i want i just click on the find for the word gearlive.. and it will take me to where it says gearlive.

yeah i realize that i can do the “find in this page” feature.. but it’s not as easy as googles feature.

There is a googlebar for firefox, that I mentioned. Did you have that installed? Someone made it, and it has even more features than the IE google toolbar, in addition to being fully customizable. Check it out from http://www.texturizer.org.
