Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for someone running a service-based small business when it comes to getting reviewed and/or advertising my services. It seems much easier for brick-and-mortar businesses to get reviews, but what about services that don’t have a traditional storefront?

Sure, I would recommend having a website that is better than your competition. Also have the site well optimized to gain high search rankings. You might be surprised how easy this is to accomplish in a local service market. I would definitely use Facebook and Craigslist. Also see if there are other free classifieds sites in your location. If you run coupons you will want to try them on Twitter.

Also add a blog to your site use it and learn how to promote it!
