I am planning to dual boot Windows XP and Ubuntu 9.04, I have already burned Ubuntu into a CD and have also downloaded the ISO. But when I go to My Computer to start the installation, a different icon appears. And when I open it with ISO Buster, it opens up separately. I’m confused on what to click.. just to start the installation. Are there any other things I need to download to install Ubuntu? What is the easiest way to install Ubuntu?

If XP is already installed then insert your Ubuntu disc, turn off the machine and reboot (FROM CD).  This will install ubuntu and a loader for you, so each time you boot your computer it will give you the option to boot xp or linux. 😊

Hi,
Try this
1) backup
2) defrag the XP partition
3) boot the ubuntu live-CD
4) let it shrink the XP partition to make room
5) install ubuntu

You keep Windows as it is, Wubi only adds an extra option to boot into Ubuntu. Wubi does not require you to modify the partitions of your PC, or to use a different bootloader, and does not install special drivers. It works just like any other application. Wubi is free of spyware and malware, and being open source, anyone can verify that.
