I have already created a team [#38757] named Gearlive.com Folding@Home—If you aren’t sure what folding@home is, have a look here—http://folding.stanford.edu/

Want to help out Gearlive.com Team?   Download and install the following application—http://folding.stanford.edu/download.html

You can be running a Windows OS, Linux/Unix OS, or Mac OS, and you can still take part in this Folding@home team.

After the application has installed, simply start it; right click it from the system tray [by the clock] and enter in your username [please search site listed above so we do not duplicate] and your folding@home team number in this case we are 38757

The application will do the rest, it simply uses the unused processes of your CPU, and does not interfere with normal computing!  This could be perfect for everyone that has an always on connection, and a great way to advertise GearLive—Any question PM me and I’ll help you out the best that I can.  :D

I’ve heard of the SETI (search for extra terrestrial intelligence) one of these. This ones sounds better though. My computer doesn’t need to waste time searching for aliens.

It has the ability to, however it only uses the unused processes of the PC, therefore on the same token, only unused bandwidth [will not use entire connection]—also, if you are using the computer you take precedence meaning the f@h client will back off and give you all the processor/bandwitdh you will need—basically it only is haulin’ @ss when you are away from your computer.

Anybody making any progress folding their protein?  So far I’m running on 2 PC’s and I have 116/400, and 50/400 for my protein strands.

I have Parabon Pioneer.  Their Compute Against Cancer program seems like a worthy cause.

Only one user so far? Maybe we can all use our FREE PC’s as folding boxes. Might have to switch over to this instead of running SETI.
