I think we should assume (unless someone from Gear Live says otherwise) that these entries don’t count. Andru posted an update on the post and said:

Update: To those having trouble leaving comments, we require that your visit the site from a valid IP address and don?t hide your user agent. If your IP address or user agent isn?t being sent, then you will receive a message stating that you aren?t allowed to comment.

I’m at my house which to the best of my knowledge is a valid IP and I’m not doing anything to subvert my user agent. The site is also having massive traffic problems. I’ll try from work tomorrow, but I’m not confident on this contest at all.

Also, I sent a private message to Andru and as near as I can tell, the system simply ate it.

Yeah, same here.  I’m unable to do this otherwise.  I’m guessing it’s something to do with the network my computer is on not sharing the IP thing, although I don’t see how since some websites I go to will tell me my IP address.

I’m using a valid IP address from my ISP which i’ve been using from 7 years.I’m not using any proxy or hiding anything but still can’t comment.

Well, lets give this a try.
