How do you discover new music? I go on Last.fm, which is a great place to find some new music. I use to use Pandora, but since I live in Canada, it is not here anymore. However, I am very satisfied with Last.fm and I have expanded my music collection tremendously since using it. Also, I usually look at Billboard music charts and iTunes to see which songs are popular and try to find some new songs that way too.

Last.fm connects you with your favorite music, and uses your unique taste to find new music, people, and concerts you’ll like.

Thanks for the link DOOOMKULTUS, I’m checking it out right now. I love finding new music and sharing it with all my friends. Of course, they tell me I have fantastic taste in music. 😉

Ah yes, last.fm is a nice site—I like Pandora ( http://www.pandora.com ) and Deezer ( http://www.deezer.com ) a lot as well.  It uses the same premise, where you type in an artist, album, or song and it will play you similar songs based on the style of music of your input.  Deezer is a little more unique though because you can actually play full length songs on demand if you want as well as have it create a personalized radio station for you.

I go to http://www.slacker.com it is a free online radio with many types of stations. I listen the the “international” station mostly for new songs but all the stations they have are good.

Borden your horizon.

Great sites everyone, I’ve never heard of Slacker Personal Radio or Deezer before. I’ll check them out later today, but I think personal radio stations have gotten to be so fantastic and great for discovering new music. I have always asked my friends, “So, do you have any good music recommendations?” Now, I can easily find similar artists or styles and well, preview, listen and download them if I really like it. My favorite, for sure, is still Last.fm because there are so many people who use it and well, it’s very popular, but I don’t mind checking the other ones out.

I also use pandora, but recently, i have been using Zune marketplace alot lately, i purchased the subscription, and now i can browse the entire music gallery and i can listen to it, if i love it, i can purchase the song (no DRM) Even though you have to pay, it’s a great service, and you really discover new music on the Zune Marketplace. anyone else use Zune?
