What do you think about it ? Closing the contest where it is now & restarting with new rules & regulations applied so that new members or those people who doesn’t have enough time to post all day long but are deserving can also be eligible to win ? Your votes are hidden.No-one will see who have voted for which option.If i was in charge of this, i would have immediately deleted everything (even my posts also) & started with new rules.

By rules , i mean :-

1) Contribute to the forum but don’t post anything that doesn’t relate to the forum.

2) You can only make 10 new threads per day but you can’t just random post new threads.Maximum two threads at a time.if we found someone is making continous threads,he/she will be disqualified.A time limit of 30-45 seconds between posting replies & you can’t just reply to every topics blatantly.Only reply if you have something useful to say & discuss.

3.No one liners.

4) If you post in a thread that’s like 6 montth’s old, you’ll be disqualified.

5) in the end who will have contributed maximum to the community will be the winner,not just someone who have the maximum amount of points or posts.

I’m not posting this to build my post count.I’ve already quitted from this ( i was forced to do so actually).

its already started and that would be time consuming for the people on this website to delete everything and start over, they are going through and cleaning up now. you still have time to build your points so why start over? i think that would be crazy.

I don’t think the contest should be restarted, it’s already day 6 and well, a couple more days are left in the contest and I don’t think restarting is the answer that Gear Live is looking for. They are clearing a lot of spam threads and posts and well, it is kind of hard to keep up to the point system/posts when after I post ~15 times, my total posts end up deleting ~30 posts or so. :lol: So, at the moment, I feel like I’m battling a storm by trying to contribute and post to some of the interesting threads, however, with Gear Live deleting threads/posts, my points/posts aren’t exactly going anywhere. I’m wondering why they are doing this because wouldn’t just making note of a spam thread/post be enough? If they keep deleting and we keep posting, I feel like I’m wasting my time and not going anywhere if I was really looking at my posts/points. However, I have stopped looking at my points all together now because I have no idea how they all add up, haha. As for looking at my posts, well, they’re still going up and down and up and down, so I’m still curious to know when they will stabilize.

i think we worked so hard for this and there is no need to start this again, and also we cannot do anything , everything is in the hands of andru and officials of this forum to decide this, and we should completely respect them.

You know not for nothing but why would start the contest over?  It would mean the people who were spamming and then got caught would do it all over again.  For me personally I enjoy this web site and it is obvious I will not win the computer which is fine.  At least I played fair and because I have this thing called a JOB that I can not stay on line all day posting on everything.  So no I do not think the contest should start over.  Just let it continue and for the ones who lost some points I am sorry but thats life sometimes things break.  Nothing is fool proof.

Dude, just because your spam threads got deleted doesn’t mean the world ended. Even if you spent hours and hours posting spam, it’s STILL spam. A rose is a rose is a rose. <_<
And no one forced you, you just quit because the spam threads you made got deleted.

Well, according to the rules if you spammed you are disqualified anyway, so in that sense he is out of the contest.  But that doesnt mean he has to stop posting and adding to the conversations.  We had about three days or so of great conversation when this contest started off, but since then things have really gone downhill.  Sometimes I have to search for awhile just to find something halfway decent, and recently I have just stopped talking a lot on the forums because nobody is creating any interesting new topics, and other individuals just create a billion new threads in a row but they are never commented on!

Me too…. all the spam topics are either pointless or I can’t find enough applicable experiences to answer… <_< I haven’t made a topic probably since yesterday, and it would have only been 1 or 2… Lulz I made 19 topics total. :(

well thats not a bad thing, i only made 20 something thread topics
it just means theres that much less to look through when navigating the forum, we dont have to worry about “whats ur favorite color”
im sure that neither of us would have posted that even if we were trying to start new ones though….
