I personally like Roxio and Nero burning Rom. If you use a burner that is built into your computer player (Media player, iTunes, etc.) it counts. Tell me what you think.

I think Nero is fantastic because I used it back when CD players were popular but I haven’t burnt anything for such a long time now! My sister’s laptop has a program that pops up automatically when we put in a blank CD but I don’t remember what it’s called…

There is the ‘write files to cd’ that comes with windows. is that what you are referring to? it either asks you what program you want to read the disc with, or if you have autoplay enabled, it pops up an empty folder titled write these files to cd. you can drag and drop them, then click to burn under the file dropdown menu.

I like both Roxio and Nero. Both are very good at what they do but I think Roxio is a little more user friendly, but then again its been awhile since I’ve used Nero, so maybe they have changed the interface a bit and made it more user friendly since I last used it.

This is Roxio: EXPENSIVE.
This is Nero: BLOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT. EXPENSIVE.
There’s BurnAware, StarBurn, ImgBurn… they’re all FREE, easy, and best of all there’s noo bloat. ImgBurn is less than 5MB, and Nero is… what? Almost 1GB? <_<
If it’s DVD movies I’d go for ConvertXtoDVD. Too bad there’s no free version.

Ouch, $50 for ConvertXtoDVD. I don’t do a lot of ripping, but I have used ImgBurn and like it so far. Mostly ISO files.

Nero 6x is far superior at burning audio cds than 7x and 8x are.

I will definitely cast my vote to nero ,it is only the software that has more features other than any other software, it will also check for buffer under on errors, which i like the most
