Clearly not content with letting Intel, VIA, and now NVIDIA own the market on the architectures of miniature, budget laptops, grumpy underdog AMD showed off what look to be some reference designs that would sit nicely next to the Eees of the world. At Computex 2008, the company unveiled two models: a white, 8.9-inch Linux laptop with 1GB of RAM, an AMD CPU, the ATI RS690 chipset, and an almost MacBook-like black XP-based model with a 7-inch 1280 x 600 display (that’s some pixel density!), a 60GB or 80GB hard drive, and 1GB of RAM.

Nice little notebook, small I like that because it will be easier to carry around and more lightweight. Prety good that it comes with 1GB ram to. I think its a pretty neat looking notebook.

i like small notebooks too, but im a very big person with big hands so i probably wouldnt even be able to use the keyboard without pushing 4 keys at one… of course if it were cheap i would probably go ahead and get it anyway

When i saw it, it looked to me like a toy for children. There are several of these small Laptops available for students/childs but they generally don’t have a spec like that but it can be expected as it’s coming from AMD. 😊

Yeah i’m a big fan of AMD Shark.I’ve had 3 CPUs so far.All three were an AMD.Though i like the performance of the Core 2 Duos but i’ll stay loyal to AMD always. 😊
