mtv plays videos only at about 4 in the morning haha… and on stupid shows like trl. I actually like real world and all those shows.. but i do like just straight videos a lot better than half of the shows they put on. |

Indeed. The only show I enjoy on MTV is Road Rules, and that just because I like laughing my ass off at the idiots trying to act sympathetic when they vote someone off, but you know they hate their guts! |

I actually remember the days when music videos lived in harmony with MTV shows… Back when real world was in its first few seasons (like anything before season 5), and you could still watch videos most of the time. Then TRL came along and killed music. Anyone else notice that MTV2 has TV shows now? I thought it was supposed to be pure music. |

i like a few shows on mtv…like pimp my ride and room raiders…other than that i never watch the channel…the only time they ever play music anymore is late at night or early in the morning or on something like trl or direct effect…mtv anymore = total crap… |

I remember back in the day when Fanatic used to come out, Singled Out and Say What?
Say What? was cool because they would play the entire video showing the lyrics at the bottom. Then they switched it over to Say What Karoke and that was just crap.
I also remember back when Total Request (before it went live) used to play the FULL version of the video. As in, right from the beginning to the ending. Now on TRL, they just play like 45 seconds of the video then switch to another video or just talk and talk and talk with the audience yelling at the top of their lungs in the background. /sigh, the memories! |

MTV2 used to be good like 5 years ago. They’d play videos with hardly any interruptions at all. 70’s 80’s and 90’s videos too. |

Yea MTV is basically full of shows now. my favorite show is Real World tho. even tho it isnt as good as it used to be. MTV2 was supposed to be full of nuthin but music but it seems they have went the way of their big brother. |

MTV doesn’t do Music videos anymore, they have moved on to reality shows… at least that is all I see when I flip to that channel. I miss the music videos! I want them back!!!!!!!!!!! |

I usually stay up late to watch the music videos. No biggie =)
I dunno, I never watch MTV anymore anyway. A lot of it has become incredibly fabricated and yada yada yada, yeah, I bet I am already repeating a lot of what everyone has said. |

I remember when I was a kid and MTV was awesome. I would watch Dire Straits “Money for nothing, chicks for free” and it would blow my mind. I miss those days. |
