I’m always interested in security software people use. I want to have the most secure and most reliable security suite available out there. What do you guys use and why?

I use Trend Micro’s Internet Security Pro

I use none… I used to have and like Avast! but you know, after a while you just know what to avoid. I always upload suspicious .exe files to VirusTotal, and don’t visit crack sites. You’re pretty much all set after that if you also use a secure browser like Firefox or Opera, and have a decent firewall. And HOSTS file. Gosh, those are important.

the only reason i started is because my brother, my sister and i caught something that was interfering with some websites
it wouldnt let us open some webpages, and it would let us on google but whenever we pushed the search button the page would just load forever and never change

No Eset on the list no Kaspersky. These two are the best there are.I use Eset lightweight and fast.I think the amount of downloading and data transfering through usb drives i do ,it would be not be possibly for me not to use 1.

I use Norton and it works fine and I’m very satisfied with it. One of the best I have used and worth it! I have never encountered crazy viruses yet, so I can’t complain too much about it. 😉 Security is something I believe all computer should have just in case.

I have Symantec Endpoint Protection, which is supposed to be industry grade (given out by our college) but I am not so sure about it anymore.  It detects things for sure, but it has a lot of difficulty cleaning them.  It seems to only clean part of the malware infection, and then the rest will respawn at a later time.  Add this with Malwarebytes though and you’ve got yourself a decent security software suite.

Exactly.I’m not too fond of Norton too as i’ve mentioned in a different thread.I use the Kaspersky internet security for all my virus related stuffs.Spams are being taken care of by the Spybot S & D.
