Pretec (Taiwan company) did it again with the 48GB CompactFlash that surprised everyone.

Spec:

Comes in 16GB, 24GB and 48GB of storage capacity. This CompactFlash with an ultra fast 233x-333x speed of Read/Write up to 50Mb/40MB per second. The largest storage of 48GB is rated at lower speed of 233x but still capable to produce read speed of 35mb/s.

Is there any limit as far as how much can fit in this size card? I wonder if any device will even support this?

is that the package or the device itself? it sounds like a usb flash….

Yeah i donno any product which supports a 48GB CF card.I think, we just need to wait.

@ shark :- Yeah that’s the package.It’s actually a memory card which can be used in few camcorders & SLRs.They don’t have USB connectivity but if you want your data to be stored on that, you can always buy a multipurpose memory card reader which has a CF slot. 😊
