This news comes from the controversial Chinese site CNMO.com. As Microsoft makes more profit on Office than it does on its current Vista OS, they want to make the software widely available in many different platform. MacBooks run Microsoft Office and Apple does not really have a product that can compete with Office. But this remain unofficial as I?d like to hear from Apple and Microsoft.

Why do you need an OS on a phone? Why do you need Office on a phone?
I understand that microsoft and apple compete quite regularly for customer base, but again, what is the advantage of having office? trying to take short notes? or are you going to be writing a whole new document, or creating a new presentation, with it?
at least, that’s what my understanding of the uses of office. correct me if i’m wrong, please.

I don’t understand why, if it is a phone, with some computer capabilities, is it called a pocket pc, and yet a pocket-sized computer that does everythin a full sized computer can do is not?

I use office on phone mainly to view documents and such. You don?t necessarily have to compose them on your phone. Most attachments would benefit from using MS office to view them.
