Phone straps and decors are very popular in Japan, but this is probably the most useful strap I?ve seen. The Strap-Ya sucks light source all day, and stores the energy in its built-in battery. It charges your phone when you plug it in. Six hours of sunlight will get you about thirty-five minutes of use.

The good news: It?s only $17. The bad news: It?s only for Japanese phones.

It looks like it woud work on a usa phone. The top picture looks like my samsung plug. And the phones use the same voltages.

I wish i had that back when i was a cell phone user. i used to be on it so much, even with it connected to a charger it would still run down the battery.
And it would be nice if someone would make it for us phones. but then again, you have to define what you mean by ‘only for japanese phones’. does that mean japanese made phones or phones used in japan?

i would have thought that you would have gotten a little more power for being out in the sun for six hours.  but what are you gonna do.
