I’ve never smoked marijuana. But, since I’m a Libertarian, I respect the decicions of others to smoke it. It should be legal as long as it doesn’t harm anyone else (invade others’ personal liberties).
Haha, I got a funny story about cigarettes, though. This one time I went to Wal-Mart Supercenter with a friend, and we used the self-checkout. I asked the attendant for two packs of cigarettes. She went and got them out of the cigarette case, and came back, then was like “oh yeah i should see your ID”. So I showed it to her, and she looked for about a minute and said “I don’t see where it says your birthday.” (I was in a neighboring state at the time, so its semi-understandable for her to not recognize the liscense).
Anyway, I pointed it out to her, and she said “OK” and walked off. Well I scanned them both at the same time and only one rang up, and I threw both in the bag. Then hit checkout. When the total came up, I realized that only one had actually rung up. Too late to do anything about it, because the next screen came up that said the attendant needs to type in her ID and password because this is a restricted item. So we called her back over, and she typed in her ID and password and scanned her card and sold her first born and stood on one foot and barked like a dog and all that other crap she needed to do in order for the checkout to complete.
The price came up, and it said “$4.06”. I had a five dollar bill, and I asked my friend for six cents. He didn’t have it. So I asked the attendant if she had six cents, and she did! So she gave me a nickel and a penny, and I got my dollar change and took my receipt and we left.
Couldn’t believe we got out of there with two packs of cigarettes for $4.
