I’m so mad about this latest terror scare.

They blocked off an entrance to the building that I normally use, because of some 3-year-old information.  And when exactly are they going to re-open the entrance??!  Does the threat level ever actually go down?  All this over-reacting totally inconveniences everyone (there are bridge and tunnel searches and traffic limitations now).

:x

Bunch of bull**** being shoved to us to steal away the momentum of the Democratic Convention.  Okay, so that last part might not be true, but it’s plausible!

I know people think Moore is an idiot, but when you live in NYC and this crap totally affects your day…

I love/hate NYC.  Nothing like this would ever happen in South Jersey where I grew up.  I lived in this poor old city no one gave a crap about.

the problem with living in new york is there’s too much going on at once.  they’re having bike races while they’re getting ready for the republican national convention while the governor’s getting ready to give a speech while….you get the point.  not to mention all the businesses and other cultural events, etc that go on on a daily basis.

i love new york, but sometimes it’s just too much.

I think all those things are inevitable considering all the people living here, and their cultural diversity.  My biggest beef is the high costs.  Movies are $10, rent for a one bedroom is easily $1300.  :o

And yes, it could be this high in order to pay for all those activities going on, I know.  😛

I wasn’t singling out NYC, its happening here in DC.  Come to think about it, its happening all over the nation.  Be careful, the mark of the beast might be on the back of your neck.

I don’t know if it’s still there, but the movie theater in the basement of the Virgin Megastore in Times Square has $5 movies.  That’s the cheapest I’ve seen anywhere these days.  :D

hehe, ya, new york is expensive. I went to visit nyc for one week. They now have a grand of my cash, lol. My friend goes to NYU, and the apt she had she said easily goes for about $4-5k a month, but it was subsidized through NYU. It was a one bedroom apt. Lil excessive, but the view was amazing.
movies are $10 bucks in cali also. i’m happy i’m in dallas. the movies are 5 bucks. $1300 bucks could get you a nice 2 bedroom. shoot for 1300, u could make payments on a house, lol. i love the subway system〈Go metrocard!〉 in new york, but i wouldn’t give up my own car for it.

i think new york is a place that i love to visit. i dont think i could live there, unless say, i was making high six figure income…..

Just like this whole “Hacking” thing…. who cares, honestly?

I mean, it’s not like there aren’t thousands of murders every year anyway…

Where I used to grow up in Jersey, my mom was paying $500 for a whole house mortgage.  3 bedroom and 1.5 baths, plus finished basement!

:o

Needless to say, when I paid $700 rent for a studio (no-bedrooms), I was like WTF!!

yikes!  i almost went to NYU, but a major turnoff was the fact that room & board alone cost $10,000.  and i wasn’t going to commute everyday either.  so now, instead, i’m 8 hours away at school in boring old PA.  :(

I almost went to Penn State, but couldn’t because I had no car.  Like someone said, the MetroCard is the best thing about NYC.  Unlimited trains and bus rides for $70 a month.  I still have no car (and I’m 29) so I save $$$ that way.  👏

Hmmm, I guess .bmp files won’t show up…? Well, copy and paste the link if you can. It’s rather funny and has to deal with this subject. =)

True!  I knew I wasn’t the only one who thought this whole thing was stupid.  Who is running our government, my god.

i know when i was in nyc two winters ago, i saw fully armored cops(looked like swat or something) standing with m4a1s/m-16s every block or so. i thought the city went into martial law.

I heard that mtv’s vma’s wasn’t allowed to be in NYC this year because the RCN would be 2 days after that, lol. too much chaos for new york. if they had to run both of those things, the city really would go into martial law.

I’ve seen those heavily-armored dudes with the automatic machineguns too! As soon as I spot another one, I’ll snap a phone pic and post it here.  It’s freaking unnerving though.  @-)
