I am currently looking at some of the Samsung HLP models. I want DLP because there is no burn in at all.

Which sets have the HD2+ chips, and which have the HD3 chips?  :?

DLP is a great technology, the only problem is it is not an exact science yet…The manufacturers are having a lot of problems with the light elements on the projection TV’s.  For example, I purchased the Samsung DLP 50” projection TV from Circuit City..brought it home, set it up and it looked great!!!...three days later the bulb died on me.  Needles to say the TV was back at Circuit City the next day.

ya, this is why i’m just going to set up a mini theater and buy a dlp movie projector, and ghetto rig it to take a tv signal also. Texas Instruments(creators of DLP) is just down the street, so I’ll just go pick one up.

My dad just bought a 50” Panasonic LCD Projector ... It is just awesome ... and it was a decent deal too ... $2700 😉  Now I can play my xbox games. I think LCD is better than DLP and it’s definately cheaper.

Plasma is cool, but not worth the $$$

problem with lcd, screens can only get so big before you start seeing blockiness…now if they start making the pixels smaller…..
