Okay, as a complete and utter non-fan of fembot Morgan Webb (affectionately known as “the chin” in our household), I actually am less intrigued by what’s potentially happening with her than what we might speculate is happening.
See, she’s apparently got this website called… Webb Alert!
I’m telling you, the genius on that girl… stunning… really.
As XPlay is G4’s most watched show, I’m thinking she’s not leaving G4. She may be launching a new show because “Adam is holding her back from her life’s ambition: To simutaniously play Zelda while pole dancing.”
“Sniff… Mom… Dad… This one’s for you!! ++bowchickabowwow++”
So, what do you think she’s counting down to?
I’m thinking her tits will open up and she’ll start shooting Austin Powers with her hidden machine guns.

So over here in Norway, located somewhere in Europe. We don’t any fancy G4 on our telemovisions, so I don’t know how stupid this chick be… Edamucate me!
(OT:Yes I too have seen Simpsons)

This is her not entirely at her worst. Actually, she’d not an utter bimbo in this one. She just delivers what she thinks like she’s a f*ck toy.
Ah, so she’s something like that chick on Gametrailers where some dude decided “Hey…gaming needs a sexy image!”
Man I hate sites that focus on that stuff. We want people with knowledge about games, games history and good industry insight.
I have enormous respect for a previous games journalist called Greg Kasavin. He’s at EA now, another dude that the industry needed was Luke Smith, he joined Bungie. Now we’re left with people like Jeff Gerstmann, Shane Bettenhausen and Matt Cassamasima. They are all okey. Many diss Shane, I have too. But he really doesn’t bash on other systems that much he just defends the hell out of Sony, but if you listen to any of the podcasts he is on. When they talk about gaming and games history, that dude is a ####### wiki, the same goes for Retronaut Jeremy Parish. Boy I’m going off topic with this, but to get back to point, I hate this trend were the news of gaming is brought to us by vacuum-head models instead of old school gamers with some serious knowledge to lay down, like it used to. I hope some sites stay true, but I avoid Gametrailers at all costs, and G4 looks like much the same.
Well, I was all set to say that “Morgan ain’t that bad” until I watched that video link.
Now I completely agree with Edie. She is most certainly a vapid airhead.

I honestly don’t think it’s all her fault. She was on The Screen Savers back in the day when it rocked my socks, and she was not a completely idiot. Then she went to Xplay and it was quite obvious she made the move because she wanted free games and someone told Sessler he needed a “sexy sidekick.”
Then G4 got their hands on the show and, I’m sure, told her to wear more makeup, lower the neckline, be super sexy, and pose semi-nude for Maxim magazine…
... and as G4 has increasingly lost touch with not only its audience but pretty much anything resembling reality, it has obviously also been increasing the message to poor Morgan that she needs to tart it up to the point that she has become a complete joke. A laughing stock. Pretty much the most pittied woman in the gaming biz.
In other words, she has become exactly what’s WRONG with gaming news. She’s not only set women back in journalism by a quarter decade, she’s set gaming journalism as a whole back about 10 years.
I honestly believes she goes back sometimes and sees stuff like that video and wants to wretch. But she’s also a complete sell-out. TSS’s Kat didn’t sell out. She didn’t dumb down, die her hair and start wearing whore makeup.
Yea, I used to love her (and still do to some extent), but I’ve realized now that G4 represents everything that is wrong with the world. I still love watching her…looking at her hair…marveling at her…uh…eyes…
Talking about female game journalists Edie, I realized I only mentioned male ones, there are some scattered around, but I’d like to pull out 1up’s Kathleen Sanders. Great journalist, highly ranked, and ofcourse GamerEdie’s got a bite
0_0 booobbssss ... o sorry decent convo not fanboy ...... honestly tho i can stand her being there, but adam that That the is a rage inside were you just want to bash his head in til it a gooey mush, do video games cause violence No adam sessler does -_-
@Edie honestly its counting to her Gamer Girls lingere line because who doesnt have one now
Okay. Here’s my take on it. And please consider that I’ve had about four vodka/apple juices:
1. First: Good for Morgan. It seems like this may very well be her opportunity to reclaim her brain. Assuming her overlords at G4 don’t object or, worse yet, have any role in her new foray into the Internets. If she’s smart and she keeps their grubby, mysogynistic fingers out if it, she has a chance to re-earn her standing with the female gender AND within journalism. But then again, that’s a big fat “if.” As in, fatter than my ass “if” but not quite as large as my brain. (Oh yes, I did just say that.)
2. She’s going to have to do more than offer opinions and regurgitations of two-day-old stories. I mean, it’s good to know that she’s broadening her horizons… let’s face it, I never figured she’d know who Rupert Murdoch was, much less offer up anything regarding his aquiring the WSJ…
3. I prefered my laser beam/eyes idea. Seriously. I’m sure SOMEONE down in LA can perform that surgery. And then her fembot transformation would be complete. Mwahahahahahaaaa….
(Dear Morgan, Please feel free to respond to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) to dispute your halfling robot/human status. I am willing to pay for the mammogram to prove that you, indeed, are “packing heat,” as they say. And if I am wrong, I will be happy to make a component video blog to your website that expouses your journalistic credibility. We can duel it out in a UStreamed thumb-wrestling competion. Because real women use their thumbs.)
Alright guys, WebbAlert is live. It randomly plays one of four commercials, one of which is for Gear Live 😉 You may have to download a couple of times to see it…but the traffic is definitely coming through! 😊
