It helps me stay in a game, and just to try see if there is anything more to a game.
Crackdown would be the best example of this,
I think I would stopped playing much earlier if there were no achievements.
That being said, when looking at my friends list, Reaper included, it feels somewhat pathetic to have such a small figure {2100}.
Yep I agree with Crackdown 100%. Achievements are “Nerd Cred” as Cliffy B said. They give the game more goals beyond whats on the disk. They add much needed replay to games, and they’re the ultimate bragging rights when comparing to your friends online.
I also think they’re alot of fun to..umm achieve. Not necessarily the Gamerscore part, I could have mine drop down to 0 and wouldnt care, but just having that achievement you can use as proof when you accomplish that hard task in a game. I beat COD2 on Veteran ” Heres my trophy for proof!”
There also a great way to see how hardcore ( and how much free time :red: ) a person is.
