If you have put up a thread on these old forums that you want to carry over, re-create it. Especially if it is recent. All the old threads will be migrated over soon, but there is no hard timeframe set.
You must have a Gear Live username to post on the new forum. Whatever the username is that you use to comment on Gear Live stories is the same name you will use on the new forums. If you don’t have a name, go ahead and register for one.
These forums will be going away VERY soon. Start recreating your threads over there with a simple cut/paste, unless you don’t care 😉
I’ve registered already and I can’t see any of the threads on the new forums. Also, cutting and pasting whole threads is impossible. I say you keep both until you can move threads to eliviate a lot of headaches.
Do mods still have powers?
Have you figured out the issue where you can’t link to a single post just the thread? It will be really annoying if you have to go through the whole thread to try to figure out where you last read…

Yes, these forums will be closed in about a week. When I said to copy/paste threads, I just meant the thread creator. Obviously, it is impossible to cut and paste really large ones.
The discussions will either have to start over, or wait until the old data is migrated to continue.
This is why I recommend NOT starting any new threads here.
