wow! i was just watchin his show, mindfreak on A&E and the things he does is bullsh1t. All it is, is good effects and good actors.  Hes just trying to get the same popularity as David Blaine.  Until I see it in person, the things he does is fake.  Anyone else see this show?

Im not saying Angel and Blaine are actors and not real magicians.  Im sure there both really good magicians but what i am saying is that a lot of the stuff is messed with in post production being it IS a tv show.  Plus Criss looks fake.

But you can say the exact same thing for David Blaine.  A lot of that stuff could so easily be setup and post production.  And there are a few tricks Blaine does that are super cheesy, store bought tricks.  And don’t even get me started on Blaine’s locked in a box or ice crap.  Thats not magic thats just boring.  I haven’t seen anything like Criss Angel before…

im not saying just Criss im speaking about both. But it just seems that how there blowing Criss Angel up like a superstar it would be more likely that hes fake.  Like just look at his site, he has merchandise, videos, T shirts and hes still pretty new.  Like people are crying on his show being like OMG he almost died.  And one trick he did about dejavou in the hallway coul have been easily done in like After Effects even by me!

I just don’t get your point elite.  He is an amazing magician.  He does some amazing stuff that, maybe was done with post editing, but you don’t think that one of the hundreds of people watching would say something?  I mean it is a trick, of course, but it isn’t done by video editing…

As a magician/illusionist I’d like to say that the majority of David Blaine/Criss Angel magic tricks are as you would see them in person.  Of course some tricks are known to use camera tricks to make them look ‘even better on TV’. 

Here are my vids if you’re interested at all, and these are really how you would see them in person.  Magic on TV or on the internet does not even compare to seeing them up close in real life..

You guys are really dense.  The whole thing about magicians like Criss Angel, David Blaine, David Copperfield, Penn and Teller is the ILLUSION of danger.  They aren’t in any eminent danger but mistakes do happen and tricks do go wrong.  These tricks can be very dangerous.  There are plenty of magicians that have gotten hurt or some even killed trying to do these stunts.  A crane operator wouldn’t be charged with anything since its pretty obvious it is a trick unless he let him go early or did something malicious.

I’ve seen this show a few times. Most of the stuff he does is more of mental stuff…such as laying on the bed of nails with a hummer on his chest.

I saw the one where he turned the girls water into beer…that was pretty funky…there were people in the background walking meaning it couldn’t have been edited :|

Blanie is 100% fake…try standing on one foot, then going up in the air with the other into a mirror…looks pretty freaky. It’s all about camera angle. That standing on top of the monument thing for 2 days or w/e….retarded.
