IPOD VOLUME PROBLEM, HELP!

When I have my ipods volume set half way, i can almost hear nothing…then when i turn the ipods volume up all the way, it plays at a sort of low-medium volume. The volume was running fine until about a week ago when it started doing this and I dont know how to fix it, please get back to me.

are u sure its not the song, or is it for every song on ur ipod?

When the volume was working normally, i had all the same songs, I didnt change any…also, if youre wondering, I did and do have the battery fully charged.
