There’s more to it than just looks.. I think it’s a great idea….
I read the whole article on Up1 and to be honest it just doesn’t attract me. It’s a cool concept but I don’t know if your everyday gamer is going to get this.
Well I didn’t really like the N64 one either in the beginning, but Nintendo has never done me wrong so I’ll still get a Revolution for the experience. And I always like the games.

Never done you wrong? Gamecube anyone?
This idea is hit or miss.
It could mean the end of Nintendo as well as the reflourishing of it’s power.

Yeah Nintendo has been slumping since N64. They make games for kids like Pokemon. I love Zelda but its not worth me buying a system for 1 game. I’ll stick with my 360 and PS2…
are you guys joking? did you read the entire 1Up article? The controller looks amazing it looks like a magic wand. The only thing i think it will be hard to play is first person shooters but i play those on a PC. The revolution will be truly amazing as long as nitendo offers a large variety of games it will be hands down the best. They are launching last because they want to watch the other consoles and see what microsoft and sony screw up then perfect it in their console. They haven’t given you the specs yet because there still working on the machine the graphics will easily destroy sony and definetly microsoft.

If you like Mario and Pokemon I’m sure it will be a fun system…
Hmm, you can’t ahaha. They are probably going to remake that, I mean really Nintendo is being left in the dust here. XBOX360 comes out November 24th.. I mean even SONY is retarded, they even said in a press confrence that the PS3 isn’t for “home users” what the hell does that mean, your makeing a gaming console not a freakin computer!
I haven’t read the reviews yet, but it just looks like it’d be difficult to play with. Moving around for some games may be fun, but I hope it’s not required for all. I’ll give the controller a try for sure though.
This next gen console war is going to end just like the handheld war.
Xbox 360 will do good because its launching so far in advance. People will buy because they can save up enough money to buy a pS3 or revolution when it launches 6 months later. It will serve its purposebut once the other consoles launch it will sit on the back burner.
The revolution is like the DS it has amazing new feautures like the controller which can be compared to the touch pad on the DS. The DS launched first and it did well at launch and sales have been steady. But with new reales in games like Kirby and Nitendodogs sales have picked up and its selling well.
The PSP is just like the PS3 it promised to be the best. PSP was said to be the “ipod killer” yet Apple is still realsing many new great products. The PSP had good graphics just like the PS3 will have but its lacking games, companys arent investing a lot of money into shrinking and modifying a game to fit on to a umd. Thats why there is so many mods for the psp, psp owners are bored so they take maters into their own hands and find ways to do cool stuff with it. People who love psp’s are not your typical console game player they enjoy modding stuff they have amped up pc’s to play the best games available.
Thats why PSP sales have fallen it was huge at launch but the hype has died down. DS sales are steady they picked up with a price drop a few weeks back and the DS has an exclusive game to their system NitendoDogs which has reached the best selling game for all systems. Only thing big realesed for the PSP were firewire upgrades.
The Revolution will do extrodinary well and with PS3 saying “its not for the home user”, meaning the price and specs will be high, the revolution will rock Sony and between the DS and Revoution, Nitendo will become the leading game developer once again.
I think the controller looks awesome and is a great concept. It’s different and it definately gets a thumps up in my book from just that alone. The gamecube controller and the N64 controller definately looked intimidating yet they work just great. It might look funky compared to the other controllers, but think about it, is it really that different as far as how you hold it? Not really, just more freedom and more ways that you can use it. 😊
I don’t get all the people saying that this sucks. If you read the countless impressions from those who actually used the device, you would find that 99% of them said they like it.
Shouldn’t that tell you something? I am getting the Revolution simply for the fact that it is going to offer a very unique gaming experience that I do not want to miss out on. That also doesn’t mean that I won’t also have an Xbox 360 and/or a PS2.
I can understand where you are coming from Andru, but many companies have tried to have things like this which haven’t been very successful. Also the games will make or break the idea. And from the games that were released for GameCube I’m not sure if this is going to be such a hit.
However I really could see myself playing duck hunt with this thing, although I much rather play it with the Zapper. 😊

Nintendo sucks now, I bought a gamecube and I think I used it like 10-15 times, then I got sick of the one game, cause all the games for gamecube is pokeman an sh!t, they need to get games where u kill and lots of action… u kno, big selling games like halo, gta, console selling games.

You’re young aren’t you, like 13-15? Yeah, games aren’t all about killing. Mario, Pikmin, Metroid, even Super Monkey Ball all are very fun games to play for Gamecube. I hate when people say Gamecube is childish, because most kids want to play PS2 and Xbox. Revoultion is going to be great, read the reviews from the people who’ve used the controller.
