With everything they’ve done in the past few weeks, I figured I should make this thread.

I mean first they get rid of the normal iPods, and make them only Photos.

Now they’ve got an 8GB Mini soming out soon

They’ve got Podcast, which I can’t even begin to understand.

Just released is the ability to sync iTunes on cell phones.

And a few weeks ago, I had heard rumors about larger HD Shuffles coming out. Now I see the GearLive homepage and it looks like a 4GB and 6GB version are coming out.

I mean it seems like one of two things: either they are suffering…badly, or they just have shitloads of money and figure that they can slap the Apple logo on anything and it will sell like crazy.
It may be just me, but all of this crap is redundant and ridiculous. Not to sound like a tree hugger, but what the #### do we need a 6GB Shuffle for,  when there are some countries who can’t even afford sanitation?

I mean it just seems silly…

There are no 8GB Mini’s, there are already 4GB and 6GB mini’s out. Making the regular iPods to Photo iPods for the same price is a good deal buddy. What are you complaining for?

I think apple is doing pretty well with everything their coming out with. 

The move to the photo ipods was a great move.  The price stayed the same and now it comes with a color screen and the ability to display photos.  Now I wish I had a new one of those ipods 😊

I never really got the point of the shuffles so I agree with you on that.

For minis, if there are bigger hard drives available, why not take advantage of them.  People are always going to want bigger and faster hard drives.

I don’t really know if the sanitation arguement is really a valid one because if you’re reading this, you are most likely on a computer that was expensive.  That money could go to improving foreign countries, so its not really just Apple’s fault.

I’d say I agree with you with 50% of it but some of it I actually like.  I really hope Apple keeps improving all of their products like that.

I actually can’t wait for the brand new Intel PowerBooks :D

The shuffles are great for working out or bike riding or running - no moving parts and plugs in very easily to your machine to swap in new songs.

i will only get a new ipod if they add video on a nice big screen. although id rather see a psp with a hard drive.

1st. You’re not talking about facts half your post is rumors.  Apple doesn’t announce products until they’re out, or coming out extremely soon.

2nd. Apple is doing very well, so obviously they aren’t making mistakes.

3rd. I can’t wait till Intel Macs either, I can stop having to get Macs and PCs.  I can just buy Macs and run any software. 😊

They are also going to integrate them into cars.

I’m not really a fan of the whole iPod thing.  They are great players but there are better ones out there for your money.  When it was first released, it was sleek, innovative, and convenient.  now they have become a fashion statement more than anything.
