Can anyone recommend a laptop I should get (for school, but I still need enough power), MAC or PC? Please include a list stating why your laptop is awesome!

BTW, I will not get a Thinkpad!

Thanks,
ORBJ

you can’t go wrong with an apple, they’re pretty nice and slick looking. If its just for school use, it should cover all your needs.

as for non apple, I like fujitsus and dells.  I have a fujitsu that has a centrino 1.6 and it hasn’t failed me yet.  its small and light ,and its something i can just chunk into my backpack. dell has the 700m which i hear is pretty nice.

Depends on what size and price you want to pay.  I’d want a 17” Powerbook, but I would never be able to afford it.  :(

You do know that they sell differently colored trackpoint caps, don’t you?

You can buy them in black, purple, blue, orange….etc etc.

If money were no object whatsoever, I’d buy the best TP available. I think IBM is that good.

Then again, if I were that rich, I’d probably get a gaming laptop too. 😉

If that HOMO Sofa didn’t screw me over I’d be playing with my PowerBook right now.  I like the 15” PowerBook…

Definately go for the 15 inch PowerBook.  You won’t be disappointed, and don’t forget to use your educational discount, assuming you’re a full time student.

How do you get that discount and how much is it?  Does Dell offer a program like that?
