Any advice on compatibility problems?

We have an RCA DVD player, circa 2000 or so.  Doesn’t play most homemade DVDs…  Is there a way to upgrade these players, or should we just buy a new one?

Probably should look at buying a new one. I have a Sony DVP-NS325 and have had no problems playing home made DVDs.

It’s a great player for a decent price.

No Progressive Scan will mean you’ll want to upgrade soon if you get an HDTV.

Who has the money for one of those.  😛

Yeah, that is the downside to my dvd player but I would rather buy a car than an HDTV.

Laserdisc players used those record sized discs that looked like an audio cd surface.
