I just bought this tonight. I played for about a couple hours. These are my thoughts.
Presentation:
Easily a 15+ hour game which will not get you bored. Tons of game modes to choose from and you will be not lose your money for this game.

Gameplay:
If you have played the first 2 you will be satisfied. This time around the steering is a little harder making it more realistic and the modes are quite interesting. We got licensed cars this time which makes this game that much better. You can now even customize your cars, who doesnt want to pimp out a hummer? Anyhow there are over 35 cars to choose from but only 5 to start off with to buy. It is very fun and holds the same concept as Midnight Club 2 just more features and harder races.

Graphics:
Graphics are pretty standard for this time around of a ps2 game. They are nothing to spectacular but they are very decent. The lighting of the cars and street lights is done well and is an overall increasement over midnight club 2. The damage to cars is also done very nicely and is nice to see.

Sound:
The sound is easily 50X better then Midnight Club 2. You have many choices of music and at least 40 tracks to choose from. You got your Rock, Trance, Techno, Rap, R&B. You can race and jam to some of your favourite tunes such as “How We Do”. The car effects are also done very well and nicely. Overall well done job on this part of the game.

Controls:
Simple controls and easy to catch on. There is nothing too complicating about them and they fit perfectly into your mind.

Overall Comment:
Tons of replay value, online mode will keep you hooked and customizing your car will be a change for any who love the series. Simple to learn for the newcomers and great to race because you know there is someone you will actually want to listen to while you race. If you like a racer then this is your game, you cannot go wrong by purchasing this game.
