According to a technical support associate contacted by GameSpot, PSP owners who encounter a persistent and aggravating dead-pixel issue should contact SCEA’s customer service line (1-800-345-7669) for instructions on how to exchange their unit after a week or two of using the unit. ‘We will work with you,’ he assured.

there will b hardly any dead pixels on the psps, dont sweat it. Many of those rumors about the psp on Japanese launch such as the UMD popping out are not true.

Well it would be impossible to not have any unless they threw out a lot of the displays.  I’ve heard Apple throws out displays with more than 3 dead pixels. 😊

they had to rush to make the psps in time for launch, they had to hire samsung and i think toshiba to use their factories to make enough psps for launch.
