OK I know this probably belongs somewhere else but its more of a what should I get than a ? about the phones.

OK I’m about due for a phone upgrade on Verizon and they just released a few new phones that support their new Vcast service.  I went and looked at 3 today and they all seem about equal.  So what one should I choose?

HELP!!!

LG VX8000

Samsung SCH-a890

Yeah its between the Samsung and LG

Forget about the Samsung being $50 more because I don’t care about that.  The Samsung is smaller, lighter, and has better battery life BUT it has really small storage.  Like 1/5 of the LG’s…

Neither.  Got with a GSM network.  I signed up with Verizon last month hearing how good their reception was but all the phone sucked.  If given a chance I would switch to GSM at a heart beat.  So much better choices to choose from.  I rather have a better phone than a better reception 😊

Verizon phones are for old folks who don’t mind a crappy phone.  I am stuck with mine till next year.

I totally disagree.  I’d rather have a phone that has really good reception and battery life over stupid features you end up not using after a few weeks.  I love Verizon…

Im sorry but isnt the whole point of having a cellphone being able to use it? I thought that most people thought that way until now. In my eyes the best cellphone is not the one that can do everything, but the one with the best reception.

Wolfeman: Get the LG8000.

Yeah its starting to look like the LG8000 is going to be the winner.  I’ll just get the extra larger battery…

Get the LG .... My past experience with Samsungs have been crappy batery life. Just because the box says it’s going to last a certain amount of time does not really mean it will. Just look at the iPod specs.

I guess you guys are right. Reception is important.  I had the nextel i1000 for 3 years and that damn thing was like a home phone.  Never had a dropped called.  Until I moved to ATT…reception sucked but i was switching to a the lastest and greatest model gsm phone every 3 months.  It was so cool just having the lastest phone and going thru 4 different phones without the wear and tear.  I am so used to the quality of the phone than the reception :D :mischeif:

Right now I’m using the LGVX7000 and Samsung a670(battery life sucked).  Both pretty bad phones.  Reception is ok.  My cuzin who owns a verizon shop told me the LGvx8000 had a lot of complaints about the software in the phone.  So i picked the 7000 over it.  Verizon phones just don’t cut it for me.
