I saw it on friday.  Very good movie.  I decided that it can’t be considered a sports movie though.  I didn’t like the second half of the movie very much, but it was still good, I just didn’t like what happened, you know?  Ok then, anyone see the movie?

I absolutely loovveeeddd this movie.  I really didn’t want to see it when I had seen the trailers.. it seemed like yet another feel-good sports movies (don’t get me wrong they can be great.. just it’s a little overkill sometimes).. Well as it had a lot of buzz when it first came out my mom wanted to see it (we often see golden globe and oscar nominated films)  So I went with her and I was greatly surprised.  Awesome.

I don’t even need to see this movie to tell you what I think is the plot:

Girl boxer asks reluctant coach to train her.  They bond, thanks to his assistant trainer.  At end of movie, girl gets knocked out into a coma and dies.  Tear-jerker ending ensues.

I agree with a lot of that, it is not even close to the best boxing movie ever.
