I’m a Senior EE at UCLA. We’re a top engineering school, and our graduates are having trouble finding jobs at all. They aren’t worried about making big bucks, they’re worried about getting any job so they can pay the bills.
If you’re in engineering for the money, the current economic situation may have you surprised when you graduate. You better enjoy what you do, because you could probably make more money with a sales job.

A couple friends of mine are accounting majors. Truman State (where we go) recently got bumped up to #4 in the nation in accounting. Some people were offered $50,000 and higher right out of undergrad. I get to go teach and work on my masters while scraping by on nothing! Thank you Dubya for caring about America’s teachers!

Graphic design isn’t an easy market but it’s the most enjoyable (atleast for me).
