I like most genres of music, I have just about every one, including: Alternative, Classical, International (German & Spanish), Jazz, Live Performances, Oldies, Operas, Musicals, Pop, R & B, Rap/Hip Hop, Reggae & Island, Meditation/Soft Music, Rock, Movie Soundtracks, and a few others. The one I use the most though, would have to be rock. Aerosmith, the Beatles, Blink 182, Coldply, CCR, DMB, ELO, Goo Goo Dolls, Jimi Hendrix, John Mayer, No Doubt, Queen, RHCP, Rolling Stones, U2: These just can’t be beat! I’m sorry….
Music genres are a tough thing to me, how can you put some albums or artists into a genre? I mean, people say Rock music, but mother of god is that a huge genre. Or classical, people reduce hundreds of years of music into that one word, classical. Where does Bob Dylan fit? Rock, country, folk? How about the Roots, they are rappers, but they play live instruments. I just like good music, but you can’t split up a record store into good music and bad music. So I guess that is where the internet comes in, who needs record stores? I buy my music on napster, and it goes right on my Rio Nitrus. Who needs cds and record stores?
I’m an indie rock hipster. I also like classical, r&b (old motown), hip hop (not rap, there is a difference), classic rock, jazz, folk. Pretty much anything that isn’t country.
