nothing wrong with PS2, I actually like it quite alot and still own one.

Gamecube on the other hand, I have not even bothered to purchase this generation.  This is a huge change for me, especially since I’ve been a devoted Nintendo fanboy since the NES era.  The problem with the gamecube is that it simply does not deliver the games I want anymore.  Nintendo sure has a large dedicated fanbase, fans of whom have stuck with them for over a decade, but the problem arises when Nintendo fails to realise that their fans have grown up.  Constantly releasing games oriented to a younger audience will simply not cut it.

This past e3 I was pretty surprised by Nintendo however, since they are revising the Zelda look yet again; but this time possibly for the better.  I will wait for further coverage, but the new Zelda has certainly caught my interest.  I use to be a huge Zelda fan too ;b But I just couldn’t bring myself to purchase a gamecube just for WindWaker and it cellshaded look; of which I absolutely despised.

The new Zelda however, I may warrant a purchase of the Gamecube console just to play it…. only time will tell.

I haven’t played mine for over a year, unless you count the 30 minutes I played Twin Snakes.

Thats going a bit far.  Gamecube games are certainly much more than crap; they are entertaining and appeal to their own audience.  If you knew the Gamecube did not have the games that you wanted to play, why did you get ahold of one?  Gamecube games perhaps are targeted for a younger audience, but that is no reason to call them crap.

When I got it I picked up Rogue Squadron II and Spider-man and I thought that it would come out with some pretty cool games later on, but then it never happened.  :(

I don’t really feel like making long lists right now to disprove you, but I really disgree with you. Super Smash Bros Melee, LoZ: Windwaker, Resident Evil 0 (and all the other RE’s), Metroid Prime, MGS: TTS, and F Zero GX among some games, are awseome, and I really really can’t wait for Resident Evil 4, the new LoZ game, and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, but I suppose you already know that. I also want to see how Killer 7 turns out. And I haven’t tried Viewtiful Joe but I heard it was really good. So, I hope I have disproved you, and maybe you’ll check into these before you bash systems next.

I lost two weeks to Animal Crossing and had to get rid of it.  I just don’t have that kind of time.  It was worth picking up a GC for Wind Waker and Rogue Squadron 3, but all in all I think the PS2 has the best library.  This is coming from a guy that stood in the cold Nov 15th, 2001 for an XBox though 😊

yeah im liking the ps2 games list. Although… gotta admit i am a HALO lover!!! and Metroid to. Haha so much easier if you just get all 3

Well I only have a GameCube so I have to say GC then.  I don’t knwo if any of them are really better then th other cause I’m sure they are all good.  GC was the cheapest and I’m a fan of Nintendo so I figured I would get it. 

I’m not mad with my choice.
