but could it play them back? im askin dis cuz i have a 2 GB USB drive already, and im tryin not to have to waste money (or referrals) buying a sony mem stick.

I wuz wonderin, since everyone is gearin up 4 the PSP and one of its main features is dat it plays mp3s and movies of a memory stick, i wuz wonderin whether it can read mp3s off a USB drive, since it has a USB 2.0 port. Can some1 clarify dis?

It could probably read them but since it has basically no internal memory it’d be pointless.  I think that’s how it goes anyway.

im not a hundred percent sure but i think one of the ways to save songs to ur memory stick is to just plug the USB flash drive and save to the memory stick, since this method is avaliable im guessing there might be a way around to listen from the USB drive
